The newest data showing national, regional, and state vaccination coverage rates for children 19-35 months old is available in the MMWR and ChildVaxView. The NIS is a large, on-going survey of immunization coverage among U.S. pre-school children (19 through 35 months old).
This survey of doctors and other vaccination providers is conducted for study participants who have provided consent for this phase of the study. Response Rates and Sample Size: During 2011, the response rate was 61.7% for the landline telephone sample and 25.2% for the cellular telephone sample. Internal surveys will generally receive a 30-40% response rate (or more) on average, compared to an average 10-15% response rate for external surveys. The different motivation levels of these two audiences has a lot to do with the big swing in survey response rates. The survey provides estimated immunization coverage levels for certain counties, as well as statewide rates. This survey is conducted to determine immunization levels among two-year-old children, to evaluate Florida's success in immunizing children on schedule, and to measure immunization levels of children based on high-risk maternal factors. More than half of U.S. workers (54%) and the same percentage of overall Americans rate the quality of the U.S. healthcare system as "excellent" or "good.". On national healthcare costs, one in six (16%) American workers and one in five (20%) Americans in general say they are satisfied.
